Vogelsberger Heimatmuseum

The half-timbered house of the Weber/Pröscher family, converted in Art Nouveau style, shows their family history, the history of the town of Schotten and this region of the Vogelsberg. Other topics include the Hessian forestry school, the use of wood in this densely wooded area and the Schottenring.

“The new permanent exhibition has now created a clearly structured museum in which visitors can still move intuitively and also experience the topics individually. […] The new concept is intended to sharpen the focus on the house and its furnishings and thus make the Art Nouveau wooden fittings, windows and doors more clearly visible.”
